Nyenrode Business Universiteit is located on Landgoed Nijenrode in the very heart of the Netherlands, on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Breukelen in the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It is encompassed by its expansive grounds, a lush, wooded estate measuring almost 60 hectares.
Nyenrode Business Universiteit is a university with a large international focus. Although originally called “Nijenrode”, the university changed the Dutch letter “ij”, which is difficult for many non-Dutch speakers to pronounce, to “y” – a more familiar letter, for the international community.
An eye-catching castle
The most stunning feature of Landgoed Nijenrode, the university’s estate, is the castle and moat, parts of which date back to the thirteenth century. The Kasteel is situated between De Vecht River and the Amsterdam-Rijn canal and surrounded by an English-style park featuring such things as:
• A rose garden
• Woodland paths for walking and running
• A deer enclosure
• A maze
Modern, multi-purpose educational buildings
Besides the historic Kasteel and its coach house, the Koetshuis, the estate has multi-purpose educational buildings with rooms that are all equipped with up-to-date facilities for presentations and communication.
In addition to our own operations, Nyenrode Business Universiteit offers facilities for:
• training sessions
• offsite retreats
• business networking meetings
• corporate parties
• festive gatherings

All our venues combine historical splendor and ambiance with modern facilities to ensure you can host your event in comfort and without any hitches.

The latter, with its own private garden, is perfect accommodation and can be exclusively reserved for one group and is extremely suitable for team-building sessions, offsite retreats, private dinners and workshops.
