Q: Can I indicate a preferred room or location?

A: Indicate the room or location of your choice on the registration form. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to honor your request, but we will do our best to take your preferences into consideration.

Q: Can I see my room before I move in?

A: Rooms are allocated about four weeks before the date on which the agreement starts. You will be notified of your room number and new address as soon as possible after the allocation process has been completed. You will then be able to contact our warden to arrange to see your room.

Q: Can I bring my car on to site when I’m moving in?

A: Yes, cars and vans are allowed on Campus when students are moving in. However, remember that it can be busy, because many other students will be arriving on Campus at the same time as you. Everyone will automatically receive a parking exemption for the general ‘moving-in weekend’, the date of which will be announced in advance. If you choose to move in on a different day, you will need to apply for a parking exemption from security.

Q: Can I bring my pet on Campus?

A: No, pets are not allowed on Campus.

Q: Do I have to register at the council?

A: Yes, you have to register at the council of Stichtse Vecht. As your new Nyenrode address is a formal residence, you are considered to be a citizen of Breukelen and must therefore register with the council within 5 days of your arrival. Registration is free of charge.

Q: What will a room cost if I decide to share?

A: If you decide to share a room, calculate the costs involved as follows:
Divide rent + additional costs + ‘Partner Charge’ by two. For example: For a Type O room in 2015-2016, this will be € 357 + € 125 + € 60 / 2 = € 271 per person per month.

Q: What are additional costs?

A: Additional costs are for example water, gas, electricity, WiFi, garbage and window cleaner.

Q: Can I fit a (small) kitchen in an unfurnished room?

A: No, the fire brigade has advised again this. Added to this, the electrics available in an unfurnished room are not suitable for this purpose.

Q: What color are the rooms?

A: The curtains are a grey taupe color. The walls have been painted white. The floor color varies from one room to another. See our photo gallery for an idea of what the rooms look like.

Q: Can I paint or wallpaper my room?

A: When you leave your room, you will be expected to make sure that the colors used are exactly the same as the original colors applicable when you moved in. All walls are painted white, RAL 9010. Please note that you are also not permitted to drill any holes in the walls. If you want to change anything, read the general terms and conditions carefully to see whether this is actually allowed.

Q: Where can I receive post?

A: You will be able to receive post at your personal new Nyenrode address. Each building has its own central pigeon-holes; these can be found at the entrance to the building in question. Your full address is stated in the tenancy agreement. Parcels can be collected from the Service Point.
