The various facilities provided on Campus contribute to its relaxed atmosphere and allow you to focus on your study. Facilities available on Campus include:
– various areas for project and group work
– a common room with kitchenette (alcohol-free)
– the Mensa restaurant
– a launderette
– a communal outdoor kitchen with a barbecue
– catering establishments
– various sports facilities and sports fields
– the Koektent, a small supermarket run by students for students
Two bicycle shelters and two rubbish collection areas are available at a central location between the various buildings. WiFi is available in all of the buildings.
Communal (study) areas
In the library building, students will find 20 cubicles (separate study areas) in which they can study alone or with other students. Cubicle capacity varies from six to 10 students. All of these cubicles have WiFi and are accessible 24 hours a day with a student card. Free coffee and tea are available too. Also in the Coach house wing are 14 cubicles with the same capacity, WiFi and accessible 24 hours a day.
The Mensa is a self-service restaurant, which opens to serve lunch and dinner. Different types of bread, cheeses and cold meats are served at lunch. A salad bar and hot snacks are always available too, as well as hand fruit and various drinks. Two hot-meal options are provided: a traditional Dutch dish and a World Food dish. Dinner is always served with a salad and a dessert.
Monday to Friday inclusive: lunch from 12.00 to 13.30 hours and dinner from 17.00 to 19.00 hours.
Saturday: lunch from 12.00-13.30 hours, closed for dinner.
Sundays and public holidays: closed.
The reception and Service Desk
The reception can be found in the central hall in the main building (the Dr. Albert Heijn building). In the daytime, the reception is manned by Service Desk staff. At night, security guards are stationed here. If you need information or have any questions, please contact Service Desk staff via 0346-291234 or email@example.com.
The Service Point
The Service Point is situated on the ground floor of the De Rooij building (next to lecture room 5). This is where students can go to buy office supplies and send and collect parcels. The reproduction centre run by our partner Canon is based here too; it handles all of the printing required on Campus.
Nyenrode has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including a tennis court, a sports field for football and rugby and a running circuit. It also has a covered sports hall with fitness facilities. Students are welcome to use these facilities upon production of a student card.
Car parking areas E and F are reserved for our students. These areas can be accessed via the back entrance to the Campus, upon production of a student card. Unfortunately, despite the extensive security measures we have put in place, we do find that cars are broken into occasionally. With this in mind, make sure that you do not leave any valuables in your car when parked on Campus.
A launderette is available in the Postma building. This was renovated in 2015 and has four washing machines and four dryers. Launderette users are also able to use the (free) ironing facilities and ironing board. The launderette is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Users are charged € 3,50 per wash cycle and € 2,00 per drying cycle. Pay-method is cashless payment.
The basement bar
In the coach house near the castle, students will find the Zolderbar, a meeting place that is managed and staffed by students. It’s the ideal place to relax with a drink, watch TV and play darts.
